I wish to volunteer during the H-E-B | Central Market Plano Balloon Festival. I understand that the nature of the volunteer activities that I may perform in my capacity as an event volunteer may involve physical activity, contact with the general public, or the potential risk of bodily injury or damage to property. Knowing this and in consideration of being allowed to volunteer, I hereby assume full and complete responsibility for any personal injury and/or property damage that I sustain or cause during my participation as a volunteer. In addition, I hereby release, hold harmless and covenant not to file suit against the Plano Balloon Festival, Inc., H-E-B, Central Market, City of Plano, and any of their employees, volunteers, partners, agents, sponsors, board members, and successors for any and all loss, liability, or claims I may have arising out of my service as a volunteer. I further recognize that no Workers' Compensation benefits, health insurance, disability insurance, or other benefits attributable to Plano Balloon Festival, Inc., City of Plano, H-E-B, or Central Market are available to me. Any offensive conduct, discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, or other conduct offensive to a person is prohibited and shall result in immediate removal of volunteer from festival grounds.
Plano Balloon Festival, Inc., City of Plano, H-E-B nor Central Market make any representations whatsoever as to the sustainability of any potential Festival Coordinator, Pilot, or Crew Member.
Photography Disclaimer: I also give permission for any photographs taken during the time of the festival may be utilized for promotional uses by Plano Balloon Festival Inc., now and in the future.
Healthcare Acknowledgement: An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death.
By volunteering at the Plano Balloon Festival I voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
IF UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE:
Parent/Legal Guardian of the volunteer acknowledges the terms and conditions as stated above. In addition, parent/legal guardian acknowledges that Plano Balloon Festival, Inc., City of Plano, H-E-B or Central Market shall not provide direct supervision of the minor (volunteer) and parent/legal guardian waives any rights or claims it may have against Plano Balloon Festival, Inc., City of Plano, H-E-B or Central Market, and any of their employees, volunteers, partners, agents, sponsors, board members, and successors, arising as a result of the actions or inaction of the minor (volunteer).
This release remains in effect for the duration of the Festival.
